Warning signs to be posted on cranes and hoisting equipment--Violation as misdemeanor--Separate offenses.No person may, individually or through an agent or employee or as an agent or employee, operate a crane, derrick, power shovel, drilling rig, hoisting equipment or similar apparatus, any part of which is capable of lateral or swinging motion, unless there is posted and maintained in plain view of its operator, a durable warning sign legible at twelve feet, reading:'Unlawful to operate this equipment within six feet of high voltage lines.'A violation of this section is a Class 2 misdemeanor. Each day's failure to post or maintain such signs shall constitute a separate violation. Source: SL 1973, ch 288, §4; SL 1983, ch 15, §132.
