Commissioner of school and public lands to conduct leasing of state-owned mineral interests.The commissioner of school and public lands shall conduct all leasing of mineral interests owned by the state, or held in trust by the state, including school, indemnity, and endowment lands, rural credit lands, lands owned by the state and administered by the Department of Game, Fish and Parks, the Board of Regents or any other mineral interest of any kind in the state or any of its departments or institutions. However, with respect to lands administered by the Department of Game, Fish and Parks, the consent of the department shall be obtained.
