Fiduciary capacity of successor trust company.Upon the merger or consolidation of any trust company, the successor trust company, upon acquiring trust authority, may be appointed to act as trustee, personal representative, conservator, or any other fiduciary capacity to the same extent and with the same authority as the trust company to which it succeeds.
