However, the director may prohibit or limit any investment that threatens the solvency or liquidity of any such company.Unless the director has provided written approval of a different requirement or limitation, group, sponsored and special purpose captive insurance companies shall comply with the investment requirements and limitations applicable to other insurance companies pursuant to chapter 58-27.
