Criminal prosecutions by attorney general or state's attorney.Any criminal action for violation of any provision of this title or of any rule promulgated pursuant to this title shall be prosecuted by the attorney general of the state; or, at the attorney general's request and under the attorney general's direction, by the state's attorney of any county in which the employer has a place of business or the violator resides.
