7-8A-3. County manager--Duties and qualifications.The board of county commissioners-appointed manager form of government shall be that form in which the chief administrative officer is the county manager. The county manager shall be the administrative head of the county and is responsible for the proper administration of the affairs of county government. The county manager shall be appointed solely on the basis of his training, experience, and administrative qualifications and need not be a resident of the county.
