7-16-28. Election of state's attorney for office of regional prosecutor--Oath of office, bond and eligibility requirements.A state's attorney shall be elected for each office of regional prosecutor of this state every fourth year during the general election, who shall qualify by taking the oath of office and giving a bond as provided by law. No person is eligible to the office of regional prosecutor who is not duly licensed to practice as an attorney and counselor at law by the Supreme Court of this state. Source: SL 1996, ch 54, §5.
