In case any person is dissatisfied with the transcript, and wishes to have access to the original, the clerk shall grant such person a transcript therefrom, but the same shall not be admitted as evidence unless it is found, upon examination, that the transcript in the register's office varies from the original record, so as to alter the meaning and substance thereof, in any deed or title which may be in litigation.Code 1858, § 2098 (deriv.
