Section 11-25-113 - Annual audit and reports

(a) The board shall cause an annual audit to be made of the books and records of the authority. The comptroller of the treasury, through the department of audit, shall be responsible for determining that such audits are made in accordance with generally accepted governmental auditing standards and that such audits meet the minimum standards prescribed by the comptroller of the treasury.(b) These audits shall be made by certified public accountants. In the event the board shall fail or refuse to have the audit made, then the comptroller of the treasury may appoint a certified public accountant, or direct the department of audit to make the audit, the cost of such audit to be paid by the authority.(c) The authority shall prepare an annual report of its business affairs and transactions, a copy of which shall be available for public inspection, and filed by January 31 of each year with the comptroller of the treasury, the office of governor, and the speakers of the house of representatives and the senate.Acts 2012, ch. 1106, § 1.
