Nothing in this chapter shall prohibit or be construed as prohibiting the county road commission, the state, or any municipality or its agents, from doing work gratuitously for cemeteries, churches, schools, and any other charitable nonprofit organization, or from making sales of agricultural lime to farmers for use in connection with their own farming activities.Acts 1955, ch. 96, § 3; T.C.A., § 12-703.
