Section 2-19-104 - Misconduct in performance of duties for purposes of misleading another

A person commits a Class C misdemeanor who, with the purpose of misleading a person in the performance of such person's official duties under this title:(1) Makes any written or oral false statement which such person does not believe to be true;(2) Purposely creates a false impression in a written application required by this title by omitting information necessary to prevent statements therein from being misleading; or(3) Submits or invites reliance on any writing which such person knows to be forged, altered or otherwise lacking in authenticity.Acts 1972, ch. 740, § 1; T.C.A., § 2-1904; Acts 1989, ch. 591, § 113.
