Section 20-12-143 - General sessions courts - Collection of costs

(a) It is the duty of the clerk of the court of general sessions, not less than thirty (30) days after the judgments of the court of general sessions have become final, to issue an execution against the party against whom the costs have been adjudged.(b) Likewise, in case of inability to collect the costs from the party against whom they have been adjudged, evidenced by the return of an execution nulla bona, it shall be the duty of the clerk, not later than thirty (30) days after the return of the execution nulla bona, to undertake to collect from the successful party all costs accruing at the instance of the successful party.Acts 1959, ch. 109, § 3; T.C.A., § 20-1645.
