Section 29-15-122 - Tenant's liability for rents

A tenant in possession in good faith, under a lease or license from another, is not liable beyond the rent in arrear at the time of suit brought for the recovery of the land, and that which may afterwards accrue during the continuance of the tenant's possession.Code 1858, § 3260; Shan., § 5008; Code 1932, § 9156; T.C.A.
