Section 29-5-115 - Modification of award

The court is empowered, on motion of either party, to correct or modify the award:(1) Where there is manifest a miscalculation of figures, or a mistake in the description of any person, thing or property referred to in the award;(2) Where there has been covered in the award a matter not submitted, if not merely incident, not affecting the merits of matters submitted;(3) Where the award is defective or imperfect in a matter of form not affecting the merits; and(4) To effect the true and just intent thereof.Code 1932, § 9378; T.C.A.
