Section 33-3-610 - Place of hearing

The hearing shall be conducted in a place where the court is usually held or in a physical setting not likely to have a harmful effect on the mental condition of the defendant. No hearing shall be conducted in a jail or other custodial facility for the detention of persons charged with or convicted of criminal offenses.
