This compact shall, insofar as practical, be construed to be in compliance with all federal laws governing adoption assistance and payment for medical assistance. In the event subsequent changes in federal law or regulations necessitate changes in the text of the compact, the commissioner of children's services is authorized to promulgate such regulations as may be necessary to alter the terms of the compact to comply with federal law or regulations.Acts 1985, ch. 35, § 6; 1996, ch. 1079, § 69.
