Section 36-5-803 - Administrative orders to redirect child support payment

(a) The commissioner's authorized representative, or the department's Title IV-D contractor, is authorized to issue an administrative order to direct the obligor or other payor in Title IV-D child support cases to change the payee to the clerk or to the department. Notice of the order shall be provided by the department to the obligor and the obligee.(b) A copy of the administrative order issued pursuant to this section shall be sent to the clerk of the court that issued the original order and the administrative order shall be entered in the court record.
