Section 38-8-204 - Authorization to contract with units of government

(a) The agency designated by the governor to operate the academy, through its duly appointed representative, is authorized to enter into such contract or contracts with state, municipal, county or metropolitan law enforcement officials as may be necessary in order to carry out the provisions and purposes of this chapter.(b) The power to contract conferred by this section includes the power to contract with public agencies or officials for enrolling trainees in general courses, and establishing special courses designed to meet specific needs of agencies or units of government.Acts 1963, ch. 173, § 4; impl. am.
