Section 39-16-101 - Definitions for bribery offenses

As used in this part, unless the context otherwise requires:(1) 'Juror' means any person who is a member of any jury, including a grand jury, impaneled by any court of this state or by any public servant authorized by law to impanel a jury. 'Juror' also includes any person who has been summoned or whose name has been drawn to attend as a prospective juror;(2) 'Party officer' means a person who holds any position or office in a political party, whether by election, appointment or otherwise; and(3) 'Pecuniary benefit' means benefit in the form of money, property, commercial interests or anything else, the primary significance of which is economic gain.Acts 1989, ch. 591, § 1.
