(a) This chapter is not exclusive, and the remedies provided for in this chapter shall be in addition to any other remedies provided for by law or available under common law.(b) If any provision of this chapter or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the chapter that can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to that end this chapter is declared to be severable.(c) This chapter is declared to be remedial in nature and this chapter shall be liberally construed to effectuate its purposes.Acts 2001, ch. 367, § 7.
