(a) Upon the filing of a petition to convene an investigative grand jury, the clerk shall mark the petition as filed, note the date and time of filing on the petition, and shall record the filing of the petition in records kept for proceedings under this part.(b) The clerk shall then immediately forward the petition to the presiding judge of the judicial district.Acts 1990, ch. 1051, § 1.
