Section 40-13-203 - Certainty as to person charged

The indictment must be certain as to the person charged; but when the person's name is unknown to the grand jury, it may be so alleged without further identification or the person may be indicted under any name by which the person is generally known.Code 1858, § 5116; Shan., § 7079; mod.
