Section 40-20-203 - Eligible offenders - Age

In placing an offender in a special alternative incarceration unit, the department of correction shall give priority to eligible offenders between the ages of seventeen (17) and twenty-five (25). In no event shall an offender who is over the age of thirty-five (35) be placed in a special alternative incarceration unit.Acts 1989, ch. 217, § 4; 1992, ch. 881, § 1.
