The governor shall appoint a person to coordinate the contract sentencing program whose duties shall include acting as spokesperson and advocate for prisoners. The coordinator shall receive reasonable compensation for the work and reimbursements for travel expenses in accordance with the comprehensive travel regulations promulgated by the department of finance and administration and approved by the attorney general and reporter, pursuant to § 4-3-1008.Acts 1979, ch. 386, § 1; T.C.A., § 40-4204.
