Section 41-21-514 - Failure to return as evidence of intent to escape

In the event inmates participating in outside scholastic or work programs fail to return to correctional institutions within specified time limits, such failures shall constitute prima facie evidence of intent to escape, and offending inmates shall thereby be liable to those penalties that are imposed or shall hereafter be imposed under the general laws of the state for the crime of escape.Acts 1970, ch. 471, § 14; T.C.A., § 41-1814.
