Notwithstanding § 50-6-223(b), a court may assign up to fifty percent (50%) of workers' compensation made by periodic payments to pay an arrearage owed by an inmate who is confined in the custody of the department; provided, that the assignment is administered in accordance with § 50-2-105.Acts 1998, ch. 992, § 13.
