Section 41-22-409 - Meetings

(a) The board shall meet at least four (4) times each year to conduct business and may also hold public hearings to receive the views of the public or to gather information. The board may meet at any time on call of the chair or a majority of the members. Each member of the board or of a committee of the board shall be given reasonable written notice of each meeting of the board or the committee.(b) The chair may appoint such committees from the membership of the board as may be necessary to expeditiously and thoroughly perform the business of the board.(c) A quorum consists of a majority of the board for meetings of the board and consists of a majority of a subcommittee for meetings of a subcommittee.(d) Roberts' Rules of Order shall govern meetings of the board when not in conflict with specific bylaws or other rules as may be adopted by the board.Acts 1994, ch. 737, § 1.
