Section 41-23-104 - Notice of proposed transfer - District attorney general

Before initiating the transfer of any inmate to an institution in another state under the provisions of the Interstate Corrections Compact, codified in § 41-23-102, the commissioner of correction or the commissioner's delegate shall give notice of the proposed transfer to the district attorney general of the judicial district in which the inmate was convicted. The commissioner or the commissioner's delegate shall not proceed with the proposed transfer until the district attorney general has been given a reasonable opportunity to present views on the matter.Acts 1985, ch. 60, § 1.
