(a) Any county is authorized to submit a plan to the commissioner in which it seeks to participate in the program.(b) The plan shall be submitted in the manner established pursuant to the rules promulgated by the commissioner pursuant to this chapter.(c) The plan shall be approved by the county commission and the county sheriff before it will be considered by the commissioner.(d) The jail inspection division of the Tennessee corrections institute shall provide any assistance requested by the commissioner in the review and evaluation of any plan submitted by the counties and of the county's implementation of a plan that is approved.Amended by 2020 Tenn.
