This chapter does not limit any power of a municipality to regulate airport hazards by zoning. Notwithstanding this section to the contrary, in a county having a metropolitan form of government with a population of more than five hundred thousand (500,000), according to the 2020 federal census or a subsequent federal census, airport hazards must be regulated pursuant to § 42-4-107(20).Amended by 2023 Tenn.
