Section 44-15-114 - Penalty

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter or the rules and regulations made under this chapter, or of any order or notice given pursuant thereto, or who shall forge, counterfeit, destroy, or wrongfully or fraudulently use, any certificate, permit, notice or other like document provided or who impedes, hinders or otherwise prevents, or attempts to prevent, the commissioner or the commissioner's duly authorized agent from performing the official's duty in connection with this chapter, may, in a lawful proceeding pursuant to the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, compiled in title 4, chapter 5, be assessed a civil penalty of not more than five hundred dollars ($500) for each violation.Acts 1995, ch. 402, § 15; T.C.A. § 44-15-214.
