It is the duty of the commissioner to:(1) Organize and conduct a bureau of information in regard to credit unions and maintain an educational campaign in the state, looking to the promotion and organization of credit unions; and(2) Upon application of three (3) persons, residing in the state, furnish without cost printed information and blank forms that may be necessary for the formation and establishment of any local credit union in the state and, upon written request of seven (7) residents of the state, expressing a desire to form a local credit union in their particular locality, proceed as promptly as convenient to the locality and to advise and assist the organizers to perfect their organization and to submit to the commissioner their recommendations in the matter of incorporating the credit union in question.Acts 1923, ch. 68, § 9; Shan.
