Section 47-18-1705 - Exemptions

This part does not apply to:(1) Employee trade associations engaged in the procurement of employment for public school teachers and administrators;(2) Employment services established and operated by this state, any political subdivision of this state or the United States;(3) Labor union organizations;(4) Musician booking agencies;(5) Employee trade associations engaged in the procurement of employment for nurses;(6) Any health care provider who provides health care services and who is licensed pursuant to title 63 or title 68, chapter 11; or(7) Any public or private college or university in the state; provided, that no recruiting fee is exacted from the salary or wages of the employee for services rendered.Acts 1996, ch. 731, § 6.
