Section 47-26-1014 - Oath - Compensation - Seal

(a) Each public weighmaster shall, before entering upon such weighmaster's duties, make oath to execute faithfully such weighmaster's duties and file the same with the commissioner.(b) The issuance of a public weighmaster license shall not obligate the state to pay to the licensee any compensation for the licensee's services as a public weighmaster.(c) Each public weighmaster may, at such weighmaster's own expense, provide such weighmaster with an impression seal. Such weighmaster's name and the word 'Tennessee' shall be inscribed around the outer margin of the seal and the words 'Licensed Weighmaster' or 'Public Weighmaster' shall appear in the center thereof. The seal may be impressed upon each weight certificate issued by a public weighmaster. Acts 1997, ch. 311, § 2.
