Section 49-10-106 - Adoption of standards or qualifications for teachers and other personnel - Adoption of evaluation procedures and eligibility criteria for children with disabilities - Cooperation

The state board of education, in consultation with the department of education, is authorized to take necessary action in the area of special education to:(1) Adopt standards or qualifications for teachers and other personnel providing instruction or other educational services to children with disabilities;(2) Adopt the evaluation procedures and eligibility criteria for children with disabilities; and(3) Cooperate with other state agencies, organizations, and institutions that are concerned with the health, education, and welfare of children with disabilities.Amended by 2019 Tenn.
