Section 49-11-605 - Cooperation with federal government

(a) The department shall cooperate, pursuant to agreements with the federal government in carrying out the purposes of any federal statutes pertaining to vocational rehabilitation, and is authorized to adopt such methods of administration as are found by the federal government to be necessary for the proper and efficient operation of the agreements or plans for vocational rehabilitation and to comply with conditions that may be necessary to secure the full benefits of the federal statutes.(b) The department may perform functions and services for the federal government relating to individuals under a physical or mental disability, the services and the individuals to be in addition to those enumerated in parts 6 and 7 of this chapter.Amended by 2019 Tenn.
