Section 49-11-606 - Cooperation in administering workers' compensation laws

(a) The department shall formulate a plan of cooperation in accordance with federal acts and this part with respect to the administration of the workers' compensation or liability laws.(b) The plan may provide for full or partial recovery of any expenditures made by the division on behalf of a client with respect to treatment, therapy, medical or hospital services, prosthetic or orthotic devices or any payments that otherwise shall be provided or covered under § 50-6-204. Recovery may be from the client's employer if self-insured or from the employer's workers' compensation insurance carrier.Amended by 2019 Tenn.
