Section 49-13-141 - LEAs sponsoring public charter schools

Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, an LEA may be the sponsor of a public charter school. If an LEA sponsors a public charter school, then the commission serves as the authorizer.Amended by 2019 Tenn. Acts, ch. 219,s 96, eff. 4/26/2019.Acts 2012, ch. 1065, § 1.
