Section 49-2-304 - Teaching supervisors

(a) Directors of schools may employ one (1) or more supervisors for the supervision of teaching in grades one through twelve (1-12), or any combination of these grades, in the respective school systems.(b) Any person employed as supervisor for the supervision of teaching shall have a license of qualification issued by the state board of education. The state board of education, in its discretion, may waive the requirement as to supervisors who were employed and serving in that capacity in nonequalizing local school districts as of January 1, 1957.(c) This section does not apply to an innovative school district as defined in § 49-8-1502.Amended by 2024 Tenn.
