The purpose of this part is to restore the value of the Tennessee student assistance award maximum grant to provide financially needy students enrolled at Tennessee independent colleges and universities with a state grant of sufficient size to reduce the impact of institutional price on their higher education enrollment decision.Acts 1993, ch. 486, § 3; 2003, ch. 128, § 1.
