A teacher who, on each of the teacher's last three (3) evaluations conducted pursuant to § 49-1-302(d), received an evaluation demonstrating an overall performance effectiveness level of 'significantly above expectations' may petition the commissioner of education for a waiver of any requirement for renewal of the teacher's license. If the commissioner grants the waiver, the teacher need not meet the requirement that was waived to receive a renewal of the teacher's license.Added by 2014 Tenn. Acts, ch. 740, s 1, eff. 4/22/2014.
