Section 49-6-2108 - Drivers - Physical and mental examinations

(a) The local board of education shall require annual physical and mental examinations of school bus drivers and require reports to be made on forms prescribed by the local board of education.(b) It is the duty of the local board of education to revoke the certificate issued to a school bus driver under § 49-6-2107 if the school bus driver is found to be physically, mentally, or morally unfit to operate a school bus, or if the school bus driver has been:(1) Convicted in this state of one (1) or more of the violations outlined in § 49-6-2107(e)(1); or(2) Convicted in another jurisdiction of violating a law that prohibits the same conduct as one (1) or more of the violations outlined in § 49-6-2107(e)(1).Amended by 2023 Tenn.
