Section 49-6-418 - Career-based experience

(a) As used in this section, 'career-based experience' means an opportunity for a student to participate in on-the-job training or a structured educational experience that allows the student to apply the student's knowledge and skills in a work environment and to develop an understanding of workplace expectations.(b)(1) An LEA may provide career-based experiences to the LEA's high school students and may allow the LEA's high school students to participate in any available career-based experiences.(2) An LEA may establish partnerships with industry and local businesses to provide career-based experiences to the LEA's high school students.Acts 2020, ch. 527, § 1.
