Section 49-8-112 - Employees - Accrual of leave

(a) Any person who has or who shall leave the employment of a public school system as defined in § 49-1-103 and become employed full time by a college or university as defined in § 49-8-101 shall be eligible to accrue annual leave from the date of employment by the college or university according to § 8-50-801, with the years of public school employment being used to determine the total full-time service, after employment for one (1) school year or its equivalent by the college or university; provided, that the employment by a college or university is within two (2) years from the date of termination with a public school system.(b) The board of regents and each state university board shall promulgate rules and regulations to be followed by each college or university under its jurisdiction to uniformly implement this section.Amended by 2016 Tenn.
