(a) Regular meetings of each county legislative body shall be held at the time, day and place set by resolution of each legislative body.(b) There shall be at least four (4) regular meetings of the county legislative body each year.(c) Special meetings of the county legislative body may be called by the county mayor or by petition of a majority of the members of the county legislative body in accordance with § 5-5-105.(d) No business shall be transacted, or any appointment made, or nominations confirmed, except in public session.(e) This section shall not apply to any Class 1 county established by § 8-24-101, that has by private act adopted regular meetings of its legislative body and procedures for calling special meetings of such body.Code 1858, § 4181 (deriv.
