Any political subdivision of the state may contract for the administration of an unemployment compensation program following the established procedures of the division of employment security required by the terms of this chapter without the necessity of public bidding, as required by any public or private act or charter restriction, if the contract is entered into pursuant to a plan authorized and approved by any organization of governmental entities representing cities or counties.Acts 1979, ch. 312, § 1; T.C.A., § 50-1364; Acts 1999, ch. 520, § 41.
