If upon completion of an evaluation of a person under § 52-5-404 or § 52-5-409, the department determines that the person meets the standards in § 52-5-501, § 52-5-502, or § 52-5-503, and if the department certifies to the court that there are funds available within the limits of the department's line-item appropriation for services, then the department must attempt to develop a service plan for the person for the purpose stated. The plan must be for a maximum of two (2) years, and no person shall participate in the plan for more than two (2) years.Added by 2024 Tenn. Acts, ch. 688,s 2, eff. 7/1/2024.
