The board shall grant a permit for the construction of a building within the boundaries of a mapped highway or on a highway shown on the map proposed for abandonment when the board finds that the building will not substantially destroy the objectives of the official map.Acts 1965, ch. 251, § 12; T.C.A., §§ 54-2214, 54-19-114.
