Section 55-10-316 - Entry into shopping center or office park premises for inspection purposes

Upon receiving written permission of the property owner or manager, a state, county or municipal law enforcement officer is authorized to go onto the premises of any shopping center, or office park, which is generally open to the public at-large in order to inspect any motor vehicle to determine if the vehicle is properly registered and licensed and, where applicable, if a county wheel tax or similar local fee on a motor vehicle is due and owing.Acts 1993, ch. 126, § 1.
