Section 55-2-107 - Applications for certificates of registration or title - Granting or refusing

The department shall examine and determine the genuineness, regularity, and legality of every application for a certificate of registration or title for a vehicle and of any other application lawfully made to the department, and may in all cases make investigation as may be necessary or require additional information, and shall reject any application if not satisfied of the genuineness, regularity, or legality of the application or the truth of any statement contained in the application, or for any other reason, when authorized by law.Acts 1951, ch. 70, § 22 (Williams, § 5538.122); T.C.A.
